God My Helper-Elohim Ozer Li

Introduction

When we study God deeper, it alters our perspective on our own lives, alters the conditions around us, and changes those around us.

Is there significance to Yahweh’s (God’s) many names?

The short answer is YES.

Throughout the Old and New Testaments, Yahweh refers to Himself in a variety of ways and names. Each name highlights an aspect of His nature, character, and power.

For example, the name Elohim used in Genesis 1, is a plural noun that usually takes a singular verb. This illustrates that Yahweh consists of more than one being, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In Hebrew, it would be, Yahweh, Yeshua, and Ruach HaKodesh. One God in three persons…three in one.

Psalm 54:4

“Surely God is my help, the Lord is the one who sustains me.”

Today we are going to learn about God’s name as Elohim Ozier Li (l-o- heem) (o-zeer) (lee). It means God is My Helper, the Sustainer of My Soul

We all encounter difficult times in life, but thanks to Yahweh and His many attributes we never experience anything alone. He loves for us to rest our minds in Him. He welcomes discussions with us.

How unbelievably amazing that He chooses to reveal Himself to us through His various names. knowing there are so many names for God is a wonderful way to learn more about Him. Knowing His various names enables us to better recognize His power, authority, and holiness. And if that weren’t enough, understanding and knowing more of His names helps make Him feel even closer and more personal when we pray to Him. What a gift!

Communication

He longs for one-on-one communication with us as individuals. Elohim Ozer Li is my helper, He is your Helper. We do not have to do it alone. He deserves our praise. Don’t you agree?

Have you ever felt overcome by the vastness and grandeur of His being? I know I have, but God chooses to reveal Himself through His various names to enable us to become more familiar with His personal attributes. The better we know these details about Him the closer our relationship will be. As we pray daily, let’s take advantage of calling on His various names because they express something special about Him!

Prayer

Father, We humbly ask for Your help in all areas of our lives. When we become tired and the journey becomes overpowering and we feel as though we are being crushed, may Your Presence revive us like a cool breeze on a sultry summer’s day. When dejection rears its monstrous head and threatens to derail our plans, remind us that with you by our side nothing is impossible. Amen
